Seminyak

Seminyak is located north of Kuta and usually has higher priced Hotels then the resorts in Kuta. It is somewhat the place for classy nightlife if you are into it, the prices are similar to Australia or Europe and in no relation to indonesian standard. Anyhow, we found a really great place to stay for little money, compared to the prices that you sadly have to expect in Bali.

Accommodation:

Taman Rosani

The Taman Rosani Hotel is very clean, recently renovated with great bathrooms and they offer promotion prices right now, e.g. on Agoda – Just click on the link to get directly to the correspondend Agoda entry. The rooms are oriented around a pool in two levels. If the rates stay around 15+ euro, this hotel is unbeatable for this price. The restaurant sadly does not keep up with the standards, book without breakfast and eat elsewhere.

Jl. Petitenget/ Gg. Cendrawasih No.9, Kerobokan, Bali 80361, Indonesia (The side street of Petitenget in 100 meter distance to Villa Bunga)

Food and Drinks:

Honeybees Restaurant

Although they just raised the prices slightly, the Honeybees Restaurant which is part of the Villa Bunga in Petintenget Street offers great food, excellent service for a decent price, which is rare in that area. We also loved going there for breakfast and eat in the backyard by the pool – a hidden gem. Quiet and comfy.

Echo Beach Restaurant

Rent a scooter and drive to Echo Beach, a beach with very few tourists and a great bar to enjoy the sunset with barbecue every night and buffet. To take a shortcut, drive the big Petitenget Street that goes east-west until the west end, then follow the Jl Pantai Brawa street north and go left into a very small street in direction Berawa Beach Residence which you pass and then head west-south towards the beach and the “Echo Beach House / Restaurant” at Tripadvisor
